Cultural Adaptation - Will Lyon
Manage episode 330734580 series 3359033
Welcome to Missionary Roundtable!
In this episode, Kale is joined by Missionary Will Lyon, who has ministered in Ecuador for 10 years. He and his family live in a village in Northern Ecuador among the Kichwa people, where they have planted a church and disciple believers. Kichwas are considered one of the most unreached people groups in South America, and there are approximately 200 unreached villages in the area where they live. Kale & Will discuss the idea of "cultural adaptation", and how a missionary should always seek to be "made all things to all men" in the culture in which he serves, in order to minister effectively. Will also discusses how this can be done wisely, so as not to offend or be condescending.
Missionary Roundtable is hosted and produced by Kale Horvath. Kale is a pastor and missionary to the country of Hungary. You can learn more about his ministry at www.horvaths2hungary.com. Also, please check out our other podcast, Theology Roundtable, at www.theologyroundtable.com.
