Why do many Christians seem so prone to believe in conspiracy theories? In this episode of Leading at a Local Level we explore how we can effectively respond as a Christian leaders to those who spread and believe fake news.
Understandably there is a lot of concern around a vaccine that has been produced so rapidly in response to a pandemic but there has also been a lot of misinformation and even conspiracy theories on the internet promoting fear, some of which have been seeping into the church.
The growing concerns around fake news and misinformation is a real problem that churches and leaders face in 2021. As leaders we need to consider how we respond to sensitively, lovingly but ensure we protect the church from false teaching.
