Marietta School Board to Talk Student Cell Phone Usage
The Marietta Board of Education held a special retreat on Wednesday morning to debate cell phone usage at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy and Marietta Middle School. Superintendent Grant Rivera highlighted the necessity of this discussion, stressing its importance for students in grades six through eight. The meeting aimed to address concerns about cell phones distracting from learning, without proposing any immediate policy changes. Current regulations mandate phones be off and hidden during school hours.
