Batman: The Animated Series | Joker's Favor

On this rewatch of BTAS, we get our 1st appearance of the Joker. There is no origin story for this introduction, and that’s just fine. Though not a strong introduction episode, what it does give us is the insanity that is the Joker, and as a bonus, we’re also introduced to Harley. Some average no-name dude gets a case of road rage on the highway, only to realize he’s raging against the Joker. When Joker catches up to the guy, instead of a horrible death, Joker leaves the guy alive in exchange for a favor to be determined at a later date. We then flash forward 2 years later. Our unlucky dude has moved away from Gotham and changed his name, but the Joker still finds him and calls in the favor. This episode is Joker heavy with a side of Batman.
