Tehillim or Psalm 51:17 begins with a very unusual phrase, that doesn't sound positive if a reader just seeks the first level of understanding.

"The sacrifices of Elohim are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohim, You will not despise." (HalleluYAH Scriptures, uses the word slaughterings, which is the version used for the quote, but not the copy.)

The slaughtering's of Elohim are:

Almost every reader has probably stopped right here and just stared at the words before him or her!

In this day, the idea of actually slaughtering something is reprehensible, to even consider, that this request is being made willingly, turns most people off. To achieve anything of value, something of LESSER VALUE will have to disappear, be dispatched, or make room for something of infinitely higher value to its owner!

There doesn't need to be a HUGE discussion as to the tastefulness of the concept of OWNERSHIP, but admission to the fact that we aren't in absolute authority over ourselves, there just needs to be a submission to the concept that there is a Consciousness an INTELLIGENCE, beyond us that is actually interested in the wellbeing of His Creation.

What does any of this have to do with FORGIVENESS?
Simply put, Forgiveness has to be consistently sought, once the individual is made aware of its existence. YAHUUAH, is forgiving and HE seeks to save us from ourselves, but if we resist fully comprehending it, it will seem difficult to grasp, that may be because we have to GIVE IT, in order to fully RECIEVE it. This doesn't me the Gift is flawed, it just means it takes an effort to KEEP, just as it takes EFFORT to give to another.
Unless the Seeker is willing to sacrifice, through repentance and humbling the existing heart, ROOM can not be made for the NEW ONE!

Epy'siyim (H) / Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as YAHWEH has forgiven us through Messiah.
What we see being asked for by David, are the exact characteristics of Elohim shown him, and are REQUIRED of believers who refuse to play games!!
There MORE in the actually recording, You will be Berachot!!
