The San Francisco Giants made a series of roster moves ahead of Game 1 of a crucial road trip through Cincinnati and Washington D.C. The SF Giants most notably added Jerar Encarnacion to the 40-man roster and major league roster, while also adding newly acquire Mark Canha. The Giants also activated Sean Hjelle off the bereavement list. Derek Hill was designated for assignment and David Villar and Blake Sabol were optioned in corresponding moves.

Niko: What's the play when Jerar Encarnacion gets called up? Is it Michael Conforto or Mike Yastrzemski that goes to the bench?

Optimism level for Encarnacion?

Would you consider Farhan Zaidi’s tenure as a success? His last six years have only garnered one playoff appearance but no wild card berths. I understand Farhan was given a terrible situation, but 1/6 years is not acceptable. We as fans deserve better, need a real superstar bat!

Will Farhan Zaidi get the boot this offseason?

Why would the Giants trade Jorge Soler, man? So much pop, so much swag. That’s a guy we’ve needed. (And yes I’m glad to see him 0-6 so far back in Atlanta.)

What’s your prediction for this next road trip? With the Padres and D-backs playing well, we can’t afford to lose much.

Do you think we’ll finally play well on the road at this time during the year?

If Tyler Fitzgerald doesn’t hold down shortstop and they feel Marco Luciano isn’t the answer either, do they go after Ha-Seong Kim in the offseason?
