Episode 36: "Nowhere to Live: Homelessness in America"

My Social Impact Initiative is a daunting task but it must start somewhere. "Nowhere to live: Homelessness in America", is about the lack of fair, equal and affordable housing available in not just America but around the world. I was awe-struck during the Summer Olympics held in Brazil, when they profiled the Favelas, the substandard shanty areas where the majority of Black Brazil lives. What we have in America look like a paradise, compared to them. Our slums and "re-engineered housing complexes" need replacing - period. The average cost of housing in Montgomery is about $650 - 1200 a month and we have approximately 6000 units of everything from apartments to house for sale and or rent. The WORLD needs to take a step back after the dust settles and consider 1) A decent living wage, 2) the cost of a meal/eating in general; and 3) HOUSING to get people off the streets.
