Succeeding two ungodly kings, Josiah was drawn by God to a place of righteousness after hearing the word of God read by his scribe, Shaphan. King Josiah not only tore down the many pagan elements throughout Judah & Israel, but he made covenant with God to obey the law, he repaired the temple in Jerusalem and instructed Judah to observe Passover.
