Renewing your mind with the Word of God results in transformation. Paul uses the word "metamorphosis" here. Recent studies have proven--- neuroplasticity--that the brain can be reshaped and reformed to function differently. The field of epigenetics have proven that we can reprogram our DNA to produce a different expression of our selves. In other words, we can be transformed at the cellular level through the renewal of our minds. You are no longer a victim of your inherited DNA.
