When Mary stayed with Elizabeth, she witnessed more than just the birth of a child; she witnessed God’s promise fulfilled in the most humble of ways. John’s birth wasn’t just about a family welcoming a baby; it was about a family called to a purpose.
Zachariah’s voice was restored after months of silence, and his first words were ones of praise. His silence had been a time of reflection, a journey of faith that prepared him to speak words of truth and prophecy.
How often do we see delays or “silent times” as barriers rather than opportunities to listen and grow? Like Zachariah, our times of waiting can prepare us for greater purpose if we approach them with faith.
Today, let’s ask ourselves: How is God preparing me during my times of waiting? And what words of hope can I bring to others when the waiting is over?
