Measure Twice, Design Once
Hey there, it’s Gabriella again, your go-to guru for all things nursery design! Welcome to Episode 2 of "How to Design Your Baby Nursery," where today, we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty with measuring and sketching out your room. And no, this isn’t just some boring technical step you can skip, unless you want to end up with a crib that blocks the closet door or a changing table that’s an obstacle course.
Before we can start playing interior designer, we need to know what we’re working with. Think of this as the CSI: Nursery edition – we’re taking all the measurements, from wall lengths to outlet locations, and creating a detailed sketch of the room. Grab some graph paper and assign a scale (one square equals 6 inches, anyone?). This will help you visualize how your dream nursery pieces will fit.
