FOUR marks of a true believer:
- True believers do not believe in salvation by works. (vv. 15-16)
- True believers know the power of Christ’s love personally. (vv. 17-18)
- True believers know what the Christ-Life looks like. (vv. 19-20)
- True believers show faith by their works. (v. 21)
Personal Inventory for a Believer:
- Have I been saved by the grace of God?
- Am I trying to mix law and grace?
- Am I rejoicing in the fact that I am justified by faith in Christ?
- Am I walking in the liberty of grace?
- Am I willing to defend the truth of the gospel?
- Am I “walking uprightly according to the truth of the gospel”?
