I CRIED UNTO THE LORD, AND HE HEARD ME

Just about the time we believe that we have figured out the correct way to pray and get answers, something shifts. The shift doesn't come on God's part; it comes with us because of our narrow view of the mercy of God. When Jesus said suffer the little children to come onto me for such is the kingdom of heaven he was giving us a primary key on approaching the throne room.

The Pharisees and scribes of Jesus's day were like the paparazzi of our day. They never left him alone. Every time he stepped out into the public forum, they were there to criticize and scandalize his approach to God. He brought up the children that day to show them that even baby talk would get the heart of God, and he would listen to you.

The Testament is filled with various types of people, both important, influential and unknown, and weak, that called under the Lord, and he heard them.

Moses cried into the Lord and began a series of events that broke the power of the greatest nation on earth, Egypt. When he cried into the Lord, God delivered them from 400 years of bondage.

David said that he cried unto the Lord and God heard him. PS 18:6

Again he cried unto the Lord, and God healed him. PS 30:2

The children of Israel cried unto the Lord, and he delivered them out of trouble. PS 107:13

So what is it with you? Are you a young child in trouble? Or are you a mature man or woman of God in distress?

There's no right or wrong formula in these situations because we cry out of our hearts, and when we do, the Scriptures tell us our God hears us.

So my friend, go for it, and watch God do a miracle in your life.
