Believer’s Authority Began in Genesis, Someday It Ends

Understanding the believer’s authority’ begins in the Book of Genesis, when God created Adam and Eve and gave them purpose for living.

One of their purposes is to use the authority given to them to take dominion over heaven and the earth. This is one of the essential subjects to live successfully. Even in a perfect environment, they needed the authority to take dominion. How much more so for us – we need and have God’s authority to take dominion over our sphere of influence.

God created the orchard in Eden for Adam and Eve to maintain and care for it. He gave them the power and authority to take control and have dominion over the sky, beneath the sea, and everything that moved on the earth. God relinquished His dominion over heaven and earth to humankind.

From then, Adam and Eve had the legal right to hand this dominion to anyone. But they did not have the moral right to hand it to Satan.

When Adam and Eve sinned, they lost the power to take dominion over the earth. Satan then took dominion with his Satanic powers to rule and curse the earth, and it has been subjected to degeneration ever since. Everything is changing for destruction.

After Jesus’ death and resurrection, He defeated Satan and regained His dominion over the earth and handed His authority over Satan and his demonic spirits to the Church, to rule and reign over them. Each local church and individuals in each locality have authority and dominion over their own domain.

After Jesus’ resurrection from death, He regained dominion over the earth. It belongs to Jesus, and when the end comes, He will hand it over to the Father.
