As remote work and work-from-home arrangements have become more common, so have various tools to monitor those remote employees. Recently, Chase Thiel (along with Julena M. Bonner, John Bush, David Welsh, and Niharika Garud) ran a study that showed that many employee surveillance techniques actually make employees behave less ethically.
