Our San Francisco Hometown Heroine Rock M. Sakura is here! She helps us get into the real and imagined history of our popular theme song Live My Life. The votes are in and counted and we are keeping the song!

Rock M. competed on Season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and she tells us all about the inspiration behind their costumes and performances. We ask Rock M if they think there really is a “San Francisco curse” on Drag Race. After being sent home second they are still serving encouragement and advice for any queen from San Francisco who wants to compete on Drag Race. Then they tell us why it was important for them to acknowledge their own history of sex work, following a series of attacks on Asian American sex workers.
