From the Word of God we learn about our identity in the Lord Jesus Christ! The Word says that the believer (1 John 4:17) is as Jesus is, so are we on the earth! In other words, if you don't know Jesus then you can't be who God called you to be, and fulfill your destiny!

In this message we are going to remind ourselves what it means to be raised with Jesus Christ. Just to lay some groundwork before we read our opening text:

*Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

*Colossians 2:12 (KJV) Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

From these 2 verses we see death couldn't hold Jesus, death couldn't stop God the Father from resurrecting Him! Since our faith is in the Risen Savior then we are raised with Him in His resurrection! Now turn to the Gospel of John and let’s join the story of Lazarus who had died and was entombed as Jesus uses this situation to teach Martha about “His resurrection”:

*Text John 11:25-26 (KJV) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: [26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

#1 First R: RECEIVE (fulness)

*John 1:6-12 (KJV) There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. [8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. [9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. [10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Key in on verse 12 please but remember Jesus is that "True Light" that lighteth every man!

*John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power (AUTHORITY) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

If you have placed your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ then He has given to you the LEGAL RIGHT - “AUTHORITY” to live as His child in this present day world!

*Galatians 3:26 (KJV) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

*Galatians 4:3-6 (KJV) Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Write these precious truths upon your heart! By faith when you believe and “receive” Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you have partaken in His resurrection and become a son - a child of God!

*#2 Second R: REFLECT

*Matthew 5:16 (KJV) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Our “light” comes not from ourselves but from the Lord as we read earlier in the Gospel of John chapter 1. Our “light” is “REFLECTIVE” from whatever we are looking at! Moses looked to the Lord and His face shone of thank
