When Jesus began His sermon, He didn’t start with a story, or a joke, or a poem, He started with a radical image – the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are somewhat often misinterpreted as to their purpose and what Jesus meant by them, but what do they tell us about who Jesus is, who we are, and what the Kingdom is like? What is Jesus saying about being salt & light? And how can we be more righteous than the Pharisees? We find out.
