This is the 4th episode in the “Clint’s Chronicles” series whereby Red Deer, Alberta high school student, Clint Cadio, shares his passion and creativity around entrepreneurship.

In this episode, we started off talking about Formula 1, a passion that Clint has had since he was 12 years old. Before very long, we managed to pivot into the main topic “Researching Emerging Technology”:

Formula 1 and Crypto. As many know, crypto startups have been big promoters (advertisers) in the Formula 1 space for some time but the crypto winter has had an impact as revealed in this Bloomberg Crypto podcast of 7 November 2022, titled “Crypto Sponsorships of Formula One racing dwindle with Downturn”| http://bit.ly/3UYX32q

FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried (“SBF”). For those following blockchain and Crypto currencies, the “SBF” story has been a hot topic for some time and ended with the declaration of bankruptcy on 11 November 2022 for the FTX Group that Sam Bankman-Fried controls. Clint first heard of SBF from YouTuber “Nas Daily” and his feature story earlier in 2022 titled “The Most Generous Billionaire” | http://bit.ly/3TCCRCL

Stock trading and emerging technology. Clint first became interested in stock market trading when he purchased the book “Trading Technical Masterclass” by Rolf Schlotmann and Moritz Czubatinski (2019). His interest then transcended into (Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). He eventually came across Blockchain which lead him to attend the “Canadian BlockChain summit” in Calgary (October 19-20).

Investment club at school used Investopedia with a $100K “Mock” starting point; roughly 30 kids from the class. As we learned in episode 2 on 16 September “Junior Achievement Alberta”, Clint’s teacher Mr. Henderson also spearheaded the initiative for students in his “Financial Management Class” to learn the practical aspects of stock trading without risking their personal funds.
