Prayer is the right tool to put on the armor of God. We are to pray at all times. Paul isn't telling us to quit our jobs, to abandon our marriages, to exit school and do nothing else in our lives but pray, but he is using hyperbole to implore us to make prayer a regular and often part of our daily existence. We are to be a people who see and say "Thanks" for what God has done, is doing, and will do.
