Episode 301: The Big Game

We're kicking off season 3 with an episode entitled The Big Game. Sure, there’s a big football game coming up in February, but life is an even bigger game. In this episode, we’ll explore both, starting with everybody’s favorite bedtime storyteller, Rich Hosek. Rich is here to read a chapter from his newest book After Life. It was released earlier this month and the reviews on Amazon are spectacular. Next, Barb Stakes takes us on a poetic journey through the seasons of life with her poem Turn. And last, but never least, Peter Waitze brings us his take on modern Roman numeral usage at the Super Bowl, and other assorted musings, in his story entitled Football.

Authors:

Rich Hosek: Rich is a television writer and novelist. His latest book After Life is book 2 in the award winning Raney/Daye Investigation Paranormal Mystery series. It was cowritten with Rich's long time television writing partner, Arnold Rudnick, and world-renowned parapsychologist, Loyd Auerbach and features Detective Nate Raney—an ex-cop and confirmed skeptic—and his partner, Dr. Jennifer Daye—anthropology professor and parapsychologist. Together, they investigate cases that brush up against the world of ghosts and psychics in a way that will make you believe in life after death. Barbara Stakes: Barbara spent a 30-plus year career in the offices of area Research and Development companies in Langhorne, PA and Princeton, NJ. In her retirement, she enjoys yoga, meditation, reading, walks in the parks and working to get down on paper stories about people, places and experiences remembered over the years with a hope that others might enjoy them.

Peter Waitze: Peter has been recounting his short, tall tales in monthly letters for over 40 years, and more recently in the form of a monthly email story. You can sign up for his monthly email letter by sending an email to Peter@AsReadByMe.com. Peter is also a founder and producer of the As Read By Me Podcast.
