Cameron and Stephanie kick it off by giving us their definitions of traditional and digital art, and then Cam forgets the name of the artist who paints with her fingers (it was Iris Scott). Then they each attempt to answer some burning questions, such as: will digital art ever *replace* traditional art? Is Quark still a thing (their website would make it seem so, but they’re probably not taking down the juggernaut that is Adobe anytime soon)? Also, should Cam and Steph have studied computer programming (Cam’s experience attempting to teach two 8-year-olds HTML might shed light on the answer)? And how about the fact that there’s technically no “original” piece with digital work—does that make it less valuable? oh, and, this isn’t art related, but somewhere in this episode…Stephanie definitely teaches Cam some alternative words for “taint”.
