In other words, the attacker's narcissistic response mechanism causes them to blame the victim when they're caught doing something wrong. We see this in the Bible. For example, Potiphar's wife accused Joseph of lusting after her when actually she was lusting after him. When Elijah meets Ahab, Elijah is accused of being a troubler of Israel.This also comes to light in the New Testament in the book of Acts. Paul was accused of profaning the Temple and starting an insurrection when in fact, it was the Pharisees who stirred up the insurrection at Jerusalem.
