Our first tale begins in the eighteenth century during a time when art and science burgeoned, propelling England into what would become the industrial revolution. Georgian England was a time of extremes, of radicalism and growth, poverty, and wealth, and most notably, of life and death. But even the brightest of sparks could not dispel the darkness that would soon terrorize the streets of London, and it all started in the quaint town of Ascott-under-Wychwood. In this brief introduction, you will hear the words of Peter Norrell, an unfortunate writer who found himself caught in a web of death, daggers, and deception, at the heart of which lies the infamous manor on the moors.
