Welcome to another episode of The Impactful Engineer! We are joined by Sol Rosenbaum! The Engineering Mentor and Owner-Operator of SR Engineering and Consulting.
Throughout the episode, Sol shares his invaluable insights and experiences as an engineer, emphasizing the importance of understanding the customer and their needs in engineering and design. He discusses the significance of real-world experience and field interaction in designing for practical use cases. Sol also highlights the crucial role of establishing rapport and extracting information from others in creating optimal designs.
We talk interviews, networking, relationship building, and some tips for each.
We talk low GPA’s and the fact that is doesn’t matter for most. Each of us has unique strengths that are highly valuable in the workplace and in life. Don’t attach your self worth to your GPA (for both personal and professional reasons).
We emphasize the value of co-op programs, which allows you to connect with companies, explore potential career paths, and build experience and skills. Sol believes these experiences provide a platform for introverts to showcase their abilities, improve communication skills, and gain valuable industry experience.
Moreover, Sol expresses his belief in the power of helping others and the positive impact it can have on one's personal and professional life.
Listen along as we continue to expand the awareness of the amazing opportunities the pursuit of an engineering career can present.
