Ce portrait de trois Juifs tunisiens immigrés en France, Maxo, Julot et Guigui, tous campés par l’humoriste, est un succès immédiat.

Vingt ans après, Les Nouveaux Magnifiques étaient de retour sur scène mêlant toujours humour et réflexion sur l’intégration des étrangers.

Les années ont passé et Michel Boujenah souhaite dire adieu à ces personnages qu’il aime tant.

On écoute de nouveau avec délectation leurs histoires d’amitié complice.

Ils se demandent si l’on se souviendra d’eux dans deux ou trois générations.

Ce sera d’ailleurs l’occasion de retrouver de nouveaux personnages, dont Simone Boutboul, l’archétype de la mère juive, l’un des personnages fétiches du comédien.
