Alan Maynie is an Asset Manager for Avenue Community Development Corporation, Houston’s largest Not-For Profit development company. Alan is responsible for Avenue’s Multi-family real estate portfolio. He acts as a representative of the owner for each property, and is directly responsible for ensuring that the long-term financial and physical health of the properties meet Avenue’s objectives. In this episode Alan drops numerous gems on how you can create your own portfolio of real estate using the same strategies as Avenue. Alan’s previous experience includes providing lending and technical assistance at Local Initiatives Support Corporation, asset management at Houston and Chicago Housing Authorities; various finance positions at US Bank and Chase and a contract consultant for a number of nonprofits and foundations.
