Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, the party that’s accusing their enemies of being literal pedophiles, had to rewrite a bill that would have allowed child marriages to grown ass men in their 60’s.
Then, on the rest of the menu, in a 5-4 Shadow Docket decision, the Supreme Court reinstated the Trump rule that gutted the Clean Water Act of 1972; Joe Biden signed a sweeping overhaul of the US Postal Service that saved six-days-a-week mail delivery, but Louis DeJoy is still there to monkey-wrench the works; and, House Democrats accused oil companies of price gouging as Americans suffer from ever-increasing gasoline prices during the war in Ukraine.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where the UN General Assembly is voting today for Russia to be stripped of its seat on the 47-member Human Rights Council; and, Russia said that it made a debt payment in rubles this week, a move that could put the country on a path to an historic default.
