In 1993 near Canowindra, in the Central West of New South Wales, paleontologist Dr Alex Ritchie was given just 10 days for an exploratory fossil dig. He found thousands of 300 million year old fish specimens, helping to fill gaps in our knowledge. But with limited time and resources he could only scratch the surface. We explore why the fossil site has been buried for decades and how the sale of the land will affect it's future.
