The obligation to provide: Men are often expected to be the primary breadwinners and provide for their families financially. This can lead to pressure and stress, especially in situations where they may not be able to meet these expectations.

The obligation to be sexually aggressive: Men are often expected to be sexually aggressive and pursue sexual conquests. This can lead to sexual harassment, assault, and a disregard for consent.

The obligation to conform to traditional masculine norms: Men are often expected to conform to traditional masculine norms such as being competitive, dominant, and aggressive. This can lead to a narrow and limiting view of what it means to be a man and can contribute to toxic behaviors such as bullying and violence.

The obligation to suppress emotions: Men are often expected to suppress their emotions, particularly those that are seen as weak or feminine. This can lead to emotional repression and difficulties with emotional expression and communication.

It's essential to recognize these toxic obligations and work towards dismantling them to create a healthier and more inclusive society. Men should feel free to express themselves emotionally, pursue careers that make them happy, engage in healthy sexual relationships that prioritize consent, and reject harmful societal expectations that limit their potential.
