#17 Life Doesn't Get Easier, You Get Stronger

I heard this saying the other day and it stopped me in my tracks. Life doesn’t get easier, you get stronger. Say it out loud and then let it sink in. There is a lot of power in that. It gives you the power over your circumstances. It’s not something that is happening to you, it’s just the way things are and you have to rise to the challenge that life has set in front of you. It creates accountability. It doesn’t let you off the hook when times get tough. It reminds you that you are in control and that if things go south, you have a solution…grow yourself. That is actually probably a heavy weight for some to carry in dark times. But the simplicity of it is what makes it more achievable in my mind. All it takes to overcome bad circumstances is baby steps forward. Progress.
