One of the most unique parts about Pippa's entrepreneurial story is the theme of loss; Pippa lost her father during a company fundraise, and even had a funding round pulled due to the sudden loss of an investor's partner. It's inevitable to go philosophical here, but the silver lining to such real tragedies is how Pippa's managed to see the light in the dark, and how these devastating losses actually help put business into perspective. (When you're running a company it can feel all-consuming. This is a reminder there is more to life than business!)
