Starting a nonprofit is very complex and for that reason it is essential to have clarity of all elements needed to ensure your organization is impactful and sustainable.
Going from the "startup" with nothing, to a sustainable and financially healthy nonprofit, is not for the timid. Nor is it something that you want to use the "trial and error" system of leading if you expect the organization to grow and thrive.
Over my 30 plus years of experience, I have seen the biggest challenges for nonprofit leaders are focus, strategy and a real plan for marketing and creating awareness about their organization.
