Manage episode 360368919 series 3421066
Welcome Meg Lindemulder and welcome back Nevena Kalajdzic! Today we sit down with Meg who is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and the principal of Curio Counselling and Nevena a Registered Provisional Psychologist. We get into these informative conversations to talk about “shopping for a therapist at the therapy store”, finding the right fit, who would go to therapy, why one would choose to go, and how to make the process of seeking help easier. We talk about going to annual physicals, and never going for an annual mental health check up. We talk about the stigma surrounding mental health and how to navigate the roadblocks to get the right help. We dive into the cost, the time, and the questions our listeners had surrounding therapy and how to negotiate the barriers we may have in seeking therapy. Join us as we put our Middle Fingers Up to mental health stigma and enjoy the revealing discussion with mental health professionals on being curious.
