Jenni and Suze talk more about triggers with a broader focus on multiple people being triggered simultaneously. It happens. They share their own stories about finding themselves in a game of “trigger ping pong” and what they’ve learned. When we do or say something that activates someone, their reaction to us might be surprising, maybe even hurtful. We intended to be helpful, and yet they blasted us. If we react without thinking, the trigger ping pong game begins. In social settings, multiple people can be triggered at the same time. Jenni and Suze discuss why this happens and what can be done if we find ourselves in a multi-person trigger ping pong tournament. Our natural inclination is to play to win, and in relationships, winning isn’t always beneficial.

Get ready to use your trigger plan again. Avoiding triggers is not a plan. Triggers happen. We’re all human. Jenni and Suze share ideas on how to stop playing trigger ping pong. What would that look like for you? Would you walk away? Or do you need to stay till the end? Jenni and Suze suggest ideas to help you can create your own plan. Having a plan can be a game-changer!
