Futurized goes beneath the trends to track the underlying forces of disruption in tech, policy, business models, social dynamics and the environment. I’m your host, Trond Arne Undheim, futurist and author. In episode #106 of the podcast, the topic is: The Disruption of Failure. Our guest is Colin Hunter, CEO of Potential Squared and author of Be More Wrong: How Failure Makes You an Outstanding Leader.

In this conversation, we talk about How to beat failure at its own game, embracing it, squeezing it for impact, creating playgrounds as a leader and stretching yourself through play, especially by sailing your ship around in rough water. Throughout, we explore how to talk about difficult things.

The host of this podcast, Trond Arne Undheim, Ph.D is the author of Health Tech: Rebooting Society's Software, Hardware and Mindset--published by Routledge in 2021, Future Tech: How to Capture Value from Disruptive industry Trends--published by Kogan Page in 2021, Pandemic Aftermath: how Coronavirus changes Global Society and Disruption Games: How to Thrive on Serial Failure (2020)--both published by Atmosphere Press in 2020, Leadership From Below: How the Internet Generation Redefines the Workplace by Lulu Press in 2008. Trond's takeaway: Failure is such a rich source of growth because it has the seeds of destruction implanted, and there are no guarantees. Yet, there is no alternative to facing your own demons if you want to perform at your best. Does it mean that we should be more wrong? We should at least feel emboldened to be brave, knowing that being wrong is seldom the end of the world although sometimes it feels that way.
