Today we’re bringing you a one-on-one conversation between Amy Wright and Jonathan Russell, founding member of acclaimed Seattle-based band, The Head and the Heart. The Head And The Heart have just released their fifth studio album Every Shade of Blue on Reprise/Warner Records, followed by an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and now they’ve embarked on a North American tour with support from Jade Bird, Dawes, Shakey Graves, and Hiss Golden Messenger on select dates.
In the mix of their busy schedule, Jonathan was able to carve out some time to visit with Amy to discuss the new album, how they formed and what the band’s chemistry is like after a decade of action, and a whole lot more.
