Motorcycling has always attracted the contrarian like a moth to the flame. Independent and sometimes revolutionary ideologues like Che Guevara have used it as a vehicle to test their idea on wheels. One would have to be blind to ignore that we too now live in challenged times where around the world democracy seems to be squeezed into an ever narrowing bandwidth where citizens are increasingly getting seduced with a self-righteous deep-rooted sense of inherited injustices with forceful narratives rendering even the media benign. We asked Gul Panag if it was the sense of apathy with the polity or was it youthful adrenaline that ever so mainlines our emotions growing up, that made Gul throw in her hat into the political ring?
