All of a sudden, everyone is talking about community, and we know why- there is no more powerful asset for a company to invest in.
But few people have had long term success in this field, so it's hard to really understand the path to community led growth.
That's why when someone with over 20 years of owning the "community" title for some of the most ubiquitous brands in tech asks to come on the show, I say yes.

  1. The first obstacle is identifying the disconnect between departments
  2. Identify the systems that aren’t working in accord with each other
  3. Company teams are challenged without connecting between departments

Pro-Tips -

  • Cross-functional teams with shared metrics are ways to improve communication and build a community team within an organization
  • The earlier in a project process to identify the goals of a community is important
