Welcome to the Drive-In Podcast from Marketplace Drive-In Cinemas, Winston-Salem, NC.
The podcast companion to the Twitter Trek Book Club
The name of this podcast is The Book Club Was Better. We are a book club podcast, but we don't read the classics. We read the crap that's getting turned into movies. TBCWB releases podcast episodes weekly leading up to the release of a film adaptation of a book.
Podcast for the Pause and Select youtube channel. The book club looks at a variety of topics and books revolving around anime and manga.
Wine and Comics is a show where nerds and boxed wine come together to discuss graphic novels, review movies, and help you relate to coworkers who won't quit talking about someone named, "Joss Whedon." It's hosted by Topher Harless and Meghan Fitzmartin. Topher Harless is a DC nerd, a comedian, and he's gotten really good at embarrassing himself. Meghan is a Marvel geek, a writer, and her love language is sarcastic quips and physical violence. Check us out on Twitter: @WineAndComics Leave us ...

So we heard there was a Thanksgiving scene in the Spider-Man movie from 2002 so we watched all three and didn't talk about that scene at all – Happy Holidays!
Give thanks we didn't do any other movie this week because the 1979 variety of The Visitor is a sight to behold and a podcast to be-listen, truly Another State of Mind, which is also the movie we spent a few minutes on immediately after. Synergy!
Hello it's Dune to the tune of about 64 minutes so technically you're saving a couple hours!
Ready to go off the deep end for Free Guy? Great!
It's the last weener of the seaser with the 2016 Blair Witch sequel that is not Book of Shadows so come along and stay for a tiny bit O' Pig, Muppets Haunted Mansion, and The Fate of Lee Khan.
We're on with Lights Out for the 2nd-to-last weener of the season, plus a little talk on The Unholy and The Ring to round things out!
A spooky little bonus episode in which we run through some of our favourite (and your favourite!) horror book to film adaptations.Cinema Book Club tarafından oluşturuldu

It's TV again, if by TV you mean Volleyball, and if by Volleyball you mean Scrubs, Elementary, The Mentalist, Law and Order Organized Crime, Arrested Development Season 5, What If?, Mare of Easttown, This Is Pop, and Amazing Stories!
A whole show about Loki? If you don't count the copious comic book conversation throughout and after then... sure!
It appears that we have done a Marvel movie again with Black Widow this week, only to be offset by micro amounts of CB4, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Bring It On, and Minority Report, you know, the classic quadrilogy you often hear about.

Action Movie Month ends with many, many bangs in the form of Triple Threat this week, plus a lengthy Suicide Squad spoiler from Matt before Ryan just kind of blurts out some words on Prisoners, The Gift, and Animal Kingdom.
This episode we finish our season of "Films Based on Articles" with Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous. Ok, we admit, this one is a bit of a stretch but we really wanted to explore the roots of this one.Cameron Crowe wrote the screenplay for this film based on his experience on the road with The Allman Brothers writing an article for Rolling Stone. So w…
Action movie month goes international(ist) with Wolf Warrior 2 this week, not that we don't also mention Wolf Warrior 1, or The Hitman's Bodyguard, or The Tomorrow War, or the new Venom trailer, because we do.
The amount of Righting Wrongs we do this week is unprecedented in the realm of podcasting, so much so that we also include Five Deadly Venoms, Five Elements Ninjas, Gunpowder Milkshake, Rush Hour, and Double Dragon... the movie... yes, I know.
July Kwon Do (title pending) continues this week with Drunken Master (1978) so it's no wonder we swerve all over the place before also crashing into American Movie, My Lucky Stars, Birds of Prey, and Fear Street. There were no survivors.
It's Action Movie July (title pending) and the perfect movie is The Perfect Weapon so let's speak about Speakman and see where it takes us...

Some people read with their eyeballs, and still others talk to their books—we do both! In part two of our three-part survey of novels shortlisted for 2021’s top SF and Fantasy awards, we’re discussing the magic and romance of “The Midnight Bargain” by C.L. Polk, the spooky “Mexican Gothic” by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and the murderbotiness of “Network…
So we found a way to justify doing a show on Cruella this week, and we tell you exactly how, and "why"? Or you can stick around for a tiny bit on A Quiet Place Part 2 and The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
We give Joe Carnahan's Boss Level a spin this week and follow it up with King Hu's A Touch of Zen and CNN's Dinosaur 13, which taken altogether seems about right for us!
Back in 2014, we read Helene Wecker’s novel “The Golem and the Jinni,” and we liked it! Little did we know that she was listening to us… and that she would end up as an Incomparable panelist! Now a sequel, “The Hidden Palace: A Novel of the Golem and the Jinni” has arrived! In this special episode, Jason and Helene discuss the first novel, how real…

This month (and for the next three episodes) we're doing things a little differently. We read Nik Cohn's New York Magazine article Tribal Rites of The New Saturday Night and watched John Badham's seminal 70's disco classic Saturday Night Fever. You can read the article here. It's a good read!https://nymag.com/nightlife/features/45933/…
It's Oscar season I guess, but more "Sesame Street" than "Hollywood Blvd" around these parts, but we give Minari a go anyway and then just continue to go with Why Did You Kill Me, The Last Blockbuster, Stargate, and Sonic the Hedgehog (of course!).
This week we answer the question "what's in a grab bag anyway?" with such answers as Thor Ragnarok, Ant-man and the Wasp, Raya and the Last Dragon, Us Again, Judge Dredd, Dredd, Won't You Be My Neighbor?, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Kid 90, Bad Trip, Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance, Cool World, and Nomadland. Well we eventually stopped talking about the Snydercut long enough for me to edit together a show about the Snydercut, and then Matt went and asked what the best superhero movie is so...
We've received some requests to please not talk about Marvel movies anymore so here you go.
This week Ryan and Matt and Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Indonesia a la Merantau and The Raid which means all the talk about Live Free or Die Hard is completely unwarranted!
This episode Charlene and Chelsea read HG Wells' The Invisible Man and watched not only Leigh Whannell's 2020 adaptation but also James Whale's 1933 version and Paul Verhoeven's 1999 film Hollow Man. While the main focus is the 2020 version Charlene and Chelsea trace the evolution of the story over the course of more than a century.…
It's Ryan, Matt, Judas and the Black Messiah this week as we try to wrap our minds around it all, plus a bit o' Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Mortal Kombat, After Midnight, and American Animals.
His name sounds good in your ear, it's the Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud this week even though I'm pretty sure we stay intragalactic for the duration, unless you count all the other talk about Batman Soul of the Dragon, The Hunt, and Matt's MCU minute a la Spider-Mans and Tammy and the T-Rex (canonical).…
Hello, can you hear that? Exactly. Maybe we should talk less and listen more, ever think about that? So here's us failing miserably at it for over an hour! Oh also Matt continues his MCU thing with Ant-Man and Age of Ultron, and Ryan continues his thing(?) with the Star Trek TNG movies, Christmas Chronicles 2, and The Trial of the Chicago 7.…
